Because of the competitions running un-smoothly, there have been minor problems. For example, in this SOTW season we got 9 weeks, instead of the planned 8 weeks. We apologize, and hopefully it wont happen again.
We'll start with SOTW, the other competitions will come soon.
from week 1 and up to week 4
The first week showed a lot of entries. 13 entries to be accurate. The week almost ended in a dead race, as m92 won by millimetres over TheJonas. Under 0,3 points was between them, as m92 took the lead, just in front of TheJonas and on third Tal64, just under two points from the leader, m92.
Second week was a lot different than the first week. We got a clear winner in adc7, who almost won by three points down to number two, LosCules. Once again, Tal64 took the third place, which got him the first place in the first season. Following him was the ever-entering ~skrapzee, who ended fourth place in both weeks.
Second week we got a new contester in MasterFutebol, who showed what he can do with his Arshavin sig. Unfortunately for him, he didnt get the first place, but the second place. First place went to TheJonas, who beat him by a point. Then the battle for the third place was on, as people like Tal64, ~skrapzee and AB-Style all the chances to win. Especially ~skrapzee and Tal64 had everything, as they already were fighting out a bloody battle in the season. Both competed for the first place in this first season, so who would win this battle would give them a big kick up the points. ~skrapzee won the battle over both AB-Style and Tal64, with only 0,3 points to both. Unfortunately for ~skrapzee this wasnt enough to take the first place, and instead he captured the second place, just 1,1 point after Tal64. On third place, we found SFX, this week’s number 9.
In last week we only had 7 entries, which turned the whole season upside down. Tal64 didnt enter, which gave ~skrapzee the perfect opportunity to take the lead. He wasnt gonna waste that chance, and ended second in last weeks SOTW. His best SOTW result yet. But he didnt get first place completely without competition, as the former third place, .SFX was entering and took the third place, just half a point behind ~skrapzee. Then only first place of SOTW 4 is missing, and that was captured by TheJonas, as he took his second win in a row. This put him in a current third place of the season, 0,9 points after the second place, SFX.
Top performers must be said to be ~skrapzee, with two fourth places, one third place and a single second place. TheJonas with one second place and two first places of three entries. All impressive, must be said. But of course the results speak for it self!
from week 4 and up
Quite a lot entries arrived in week 5. In between them, were LosCules and .Codd1e. Why I name then, you probably already figured out – They won this week, just 0,2 points more than sfX who took the second place. Third placed went to Tiempo, who ended 1 point after the winners. LosCules won with his just second entry in these 6 weeks, which meant he was long behind in the season standing. But what I wanted to show is LosCules impressive places, in his 2 entries – one 2’nd place, one 1’st place. As Skrapzee didn’t enter this week, sfX took the lead, coming up from second place. This sent the former leader all the way down to the third place, as TheJonas went passed him as well.
The next couple of weeks were low on entries. Again LosCules entered, and with his high average, the hopes were high. He didn’t lead them down, as he ended second, 0,8 point after TheJonas. With sfX not entering this week, TheJonas took the lead.
That first place didn’t last long, as TheJonas didn’t enter in week 7. But sfX did, and he rocked the week, by bringing in impressive 14,5 points! Only 0,1 points from the all-time top scorer on UGfx, which is (while writing) hold by TheJonas. The top three went like this: sfX, Lebthug and ~sg-oz.
In week 8, only 5 entries arrived. Disappointing, but nothing to do about that. This meant over half of the entries would get a top 3 place. But it didn’t mean that the heat in the top of the season wasn’t there – with sfX entering once again, and no one else from the top 3, sfX was set to set of from the rest of the group. And that’s exactly what he did. Got a score of 10,5, which of course meant he gained 10,5 points on TheJonas, and Skrapzee, who wasn’t in the top three anymore. His place, was taken by ~sg.oz, who with his excellent second place in this week, captured the third place.
With one week left, things were getting close in the top. Especially with only 5 competing and the only one from top 3 was named sfX. With .~rdmdesigns!. And Skrapzee entering in the last week, it could get close in the top three. sfX victory already rock solid, so no doubt that he would win. The second and third place was still hard to decide, though. The people competing for the top three were TheJonas, ~sg-oz, .~rdmdesigns!. and Skrapzee. But unfortunately for Rdm and Skrapzee, the scores showed that neither of them scored enough points to get a top three place. Rdm ended on a nice 5’th place, while Skrapzee ended one place under him, at the 6’th place. That meant the top three ended like this:
sfX with impressive 88,8
TheJonas with 64,4
~sg-oz with 60,5
This means sfX wins the first ever UGfx season! CONGRATULATIONS!
And when both sfX and TheJonas is staff, the year long goldem membership will go to ~sg-oz! Rdm will receive 6 month of golden membership, and Skrapzee will take the 2 month. Congratulations to them, and everyone else!
